FOSSIL MOON XXVIII

About This Project

In Fossil Moon, the circular surface is divided between geology and reflection: the fossil-like presence of alabaster and the mirror that returns a time that never stops. The carved relief evokes an eroded, lunar-like terrain where the stone seems to preserve the trace of water that no longer flows— a petrified landscape shaped by duration, memory, and change.

The mirrored half introduces the opposite: a present that shifts with every glance. One side holds time; the other disperses it. Between them emerges the essential tension of the work: what remains and what escapes.

Hand-carved from start to finish, each Fossil Moon is the result of an improvised dialogue with the stone. There is no template; the artist listens to the material and lets the alabaster reveal its final form.
