Sculptural candle holder in blue alabaster
Carved from a single block of blue alabaster, a rare variety of this stone, the piece evokes the natural forms of a lapiaz—the fissures and folds sculpted by water erosion in limestone landscapes. Its upper cavity can host a candle, but also other elements such as a plant, flowers, or even a bonsai, expanding its symbolic and aesthetic possibilities.
Lapiaz stands between functional object and poetic sculpture, uniting the millenary strength of stone with the delicacy of the ephemeral.
