FOSSIL MOON XXXIV

About This Project

Circular mirror where the surface is divided between alabaster and reflection: the stone as the trace of a distant, eroded time, and the mirror returning an immediate present in direct relation to the viewer. In this piece, the dark grey mirror enhances the perception of depth, evoking the vastness of space in contrast with the white alabaster, reminiscent of the moon.

The carved relief evokes a lunar-like landscape, where the stone preserves the trace of water that no longer flows.
