Echoes of Time I
In this work, alabaster becomes a record of suspended motion —a petrified trace of flow. Its undulating surface evokes the passage of water, wind, or time across matter, while the mirror reflects the viewer as part of that same transient process.
The diptych stages a dialogue between two fragments of a single gesture: two bodies facing each other, as if remembering a common form before their separation. The stone, veined like a fossil map, contrasts with the clarity of the mirror, suggesting a tension between permanence and change, memory and the present.
Echoes of Time speaks of how matter retains the vibration of the moment that shaped it. Each line in the alabaster is a pulse frozen in time —an ancient resonance that still lingers.
