About This Project
Fossil Moon IV and V share a profound connection that goes beyond concept: both pieces have been sculpted from the same block of alabaster, granting them a unique bond and organic harmony. Though separated in form and function, the stone that constitutes them speaks of a common origin, as if they were two fragments of a single whole, a petrified story.
This detail reinforces the dialogue between the past and the future, the fleeting and the eternal, while also emphasizing the unity of time and nature. The alabaster, carefully worked in each piece, reveals in its veins and textures the memory of a distant landscape, a shared geography suspended in time. Though physically separate, the two pieces remain united by the same echo, an echo that invites the viewer to reflect on the continuity of life, the eternal cycle of creation and dissolution, and how every fragment of nature is inherently connected to the rest.
