About This Project
Aqua Fossil Seats (Pair)
Pair of sculptural seats carved from a single block of alabaster, a rare mineral variety characterized by the presence of other compositions within the stone.
Both pieces originate from the same block, creating a positive and negative relationship through the cut, where each retains the trace of the other.
The set preserves the presence of the rock in its original state, with an almost untouched exterior reading, while the interior reveals the carved seat, exposing the intervention on the material and the contrast between the raw and the worked.
A unique piece, whose language allows the development of new versions on commission in different scales and configurations.
