Amarist Studio at The Line Dreams<\/em>, Madrid Design Festival exhibition at Beijing Design Week 2025<\/h3>\n

Amarist Studio is part of The Line Dreams<\/em>, an exhibition presented by Madrid Design Festival<\/strong> within the Madrid Guest City<\/strong> program at Beijing Design Week 2025<\/strong>, held from September 26 to October 25<\/strong> at the Genesis Art Gallery<\/strong>, a space designed by architect Tadao Ando<\/strong> along the banks of the Liangma River.<\/p>\n

The project, co-organized by Beijing Design Week<\/strong>, Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF)<\/strong>, Genesis Beijing<\/strong>, and Madrid Design Festival<\/strong>, and co-produced by Cui Qiao<\/strong> and Wang Yudong<\/strong>, celebrates the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union<\/strong>. The exhibition serves as a cultural bridge between Spain and China, using light as a poetic and universal language<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Curated by Javier Riera<\/strong>, The Line Dreams<\/em> unfolds across five thematic sections \u2014In Praise of Shadow<\/em>, Light, Form and Matter<\/em>, Light in the Landscape<\/em>, Sustainable Light<\/em>, and a film program\u2014 each reflecting on the relationship between light, nature, and creativity.<\/p>\n

Within this context, Amarist Studio<\/strong> presents four works that embody its ongoing research into \u201cliquid stone\u201d and the poetics of alabaster: Gravity<\/strong><\/a>, Aqua Fossil Light<\/a><\/strong>, and Fossil Abyss<\/strong><\/a> and Aqua Fossil Mirrors<\/a><\/strong>, the latter unveiled here for the first time. These pieces explore the tension between matter and transparency, inviting contemplation on the passage of time and the fragility of water turned to stone.<\/p>\n

Amarist joins a group of 40 Spanish designers<\/strong> representing the diversity and innovation of contemporary Spanish design, alongside figures such as Miguel Mil\u00e1, Mayice, Roc\u00edo Asensi, \u00c1lvaro Catal\u00e1n de Oc\u00f3n,<\/strong> and Lucas Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n

The Genesis Art Gallery<\/strong>, with its exposed concrete geometry and subtle play of natural light \u2014hallmarks of Ando\u2019s architecture\u2014 provides a perfect setting for this dialogue between art, design, and landscape. Within this space, Amarist\u2019s works reaffirm the studio\u2019s commitment to a practice that merges nature, contemplation, and material experimentation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
